A Genre Review and Tools to Know (comprehension strategies) review launches the pathway as students explore and experience the purpose of literacy and establish practices for reading and writing.

 

Students increase their listening skills through meaningful discourse and become more intentional in their thinking and connection as they listen, read, view, and write about their own and others’ opinions and perspectives.

 

Reading/Writing practice and application include multiple genres and subgenres.
